With meandering roots from the Texas high plains, to the Virginia hills all the way to Germany, Driftwood brings you the finest in vintage country, blues, and traditional bluegrass songs all done in a traditional style in the model of Bill Monroe, Flatt and Scruggs, and many other bluegrass pioneers.
The cuurent lineup of Driftwood is really just the most current form of a group going back almost 10 years and known by several names such as "Last Chance Ranch" and "New River Train" and "The Blue Grassholes" Bound by friendship and our mutual love of music. Driftwood will be together in one form or another for many years to come.

Josh Dake: Guitar - Vocals
Born in {STATE} and grew up in {AREA} and {AREA}, Josh has had an appreciation for Appalchian music since he was a child and has playes in several bluegrass bands. After attending Virginia Tech Josh has lived in California now for over 15 years. He currently resides in Oceanside, Ca with his wife and 2.5 children.

Gary Peek: Bass - Vocals
Born in Germany Gary grew up between Europs, Texas, and California. Living both here and overseas Gary has a wide span if musical influences, but has the most fun while playing bluegrass. When not playing Gary enjoys riding motorcycles on and off road, and even takes part in the occasional cross-country endurance race.

Mike Richardson: Mandolin - Vocals
Born in Texas Mike has moved around quite a bit and lived in Mississippi, Kentucky, Arkansas, and California. Living in North County since 1998 he currently resides with his wife in Encinitas. Aside from music and bluegrass Mike is an instrument rated Private Pilot who enjoys flying around in southern California and the greater southwest area.
